The team behind Hosteiland
Hosteiland began in 2017 in a small office in Almere, when its founder got tired of watching local shop owners pay too much for hosting they didn't understand and never hear back from support. So it started as a one-person operation, hosting a handful of Dutch small businesses on its own servers, with its own phone number attached.
Word got around. Clients started asking us to also build their websites, then their webshops, then to help people actually find them online. Rather than hand that work to yet another agency, we hired the people to do it ourselves. Today Hosteiland is one accountable team for hosting, development and marketing, still headquartered in Almere, still answering the phone.
