IT intern
As an IT intern you join the infrastructure team that keeps everything running. Hosteiland hosts on its own hardware in Dutch datacenters, so you'll get hands-on with the servers, networking, monitoring and support that keep more than 300 businesses online.
This is a great internship if you love how things work under the hood. You'll learn about Linux servers, monitoring and alerting, backups and the day-to-day support that keeps clients happy - with an engineer beside you the whole way.
What you'll do
- Help manage and maintain our Linux servers and hosting infrastructure
- Monitor systems, respond to alerts and help keep uptime high
- Assist with backups, updates and routine maintenance
- Support colleagues and clients with technical questions and tickets
- Document procedures and help improve our internal runbooks
What we're looking for
- You're studying IT, system administration or networking (mbo/hbo)
- You're comfortable with Linux basics and the command line
- You have an interest in servers, networking and infrastructure
- You stay calm, methodical and precise when things break
- You're available for at least three months, 32-40 hours a week
